Reads 4 Tweens Is Up!

It’s still a work in progress, but Reads 4 Tweens is ready for visitors! Please check it out at www.reads4tweens.com and follow us on Twitter @reads4tweens.

This is a site designed for parents, librarians, teachers, and other people who care about what kids, roughly ages 8 to 13, are reading. The reviews focus primarily on content–themes and situations you might want to seek out, avoid, or discuss with your kids. It’s aimed at helping you make informed decisions when helping individual children choose books to read.

Right now it’s 6 book reviews and a couple blog posts, but I’ll be adding more every day.

Coming soon:

  • Template to submit your own book reviews
  • Template for kids to submit their own reviews
  • Guidelines for submitting books to me for review
  • Contact information

as well as reviews of

  • The Phantom Tollbooth
  • My Life as a Book
  • Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos
  • The Strange Case of Origami Yoda
  • and many more.

For now, if you have any questions or are interested in contacting me to do a review or to submit a book for review, please use amanda AT ayvalentine dot com.

Let me know what you think! I’m eager to hear feedback.
